Zoe
This is my stunning friend Zoe. She's a professional actress and has great great energy in front of the camera. We had so much fun this saturday doing our shoot. The minute I walked into her bedroom I was inspired by Kirsten Dunst's role of Lux Lisbon in The Virgin Suicides. I loved the idea of a misunderstood teenage girl. The longing for freedom from the rules and roles instituted by her parents that have sheltered her from the outside world her whole life. 4 pm on a beautiful afternoon we started shooting. Here are some of my favorites. I've got tons of photo's from our shoot that still require doctoring so I'll get those up asap.
Listen to Playground Love by Air. The title track on the Virgin Suidcides soundtrack. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iQsc0xIi28
Sam
This is one of my best friend's Sam. She's very beautiful and I had a great time photographing her. Here are my favourite pictures. I was inspired by the idea of being comfortable at home. I wanted her to look very relaxed yet cold and lonely. As if she's waiting for someone who she knows will never come. Listen to the song Shelter by the xx.

Marc Jacobs spring 2011 = YSL flashback
Took me a couple viewings to appreciate the strong homage Jacobs payed to the late YSL in his latest collection for spring. I was recently in Paris where I visited the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit at the Petit Palais. It was truly amazing to see a man's life work concentrated into a single presentation. Jacobs' incorporation of satin wide leg trousers, massive floral corsages, sheer jumpsuits with deep V necklines and rich maroons and plums were clear tributes to signature Saint Laurent design. Jacobs more specifically payed tribute to YSL's chic and iconic Moroccan inspired collection in several looks). Great collection!
Enjoy!
